The Jewish future is being built by young couples.

You can’t help who you fall in love with. But when couples come from different backgrounds, they have the opportunity to intentionally shape what Jewish life will look like for their family—and to find a community that supports them along the way.

In his latest piece for The Times of Israel, HMI CEO and co-founder Avi Rubel shares the stories of two couples who traveled with Honeymoon Israel last winter: Claire & Tony and Ava & Perry.

Their experiences looked different, but both couples found something they didn’t know they were looking for: a deeper understanding of Jewish life and Israel, a community of couples navigating similar questions, and the freedom to imagine a Jewish future that fits them.

As Avi writes, HMI is ultimately about much more than nine days in Israel. It’s about what happens when couples are given the space, community, and experiences to make their own choices about Jewish life—and then carry those choices home with them.

Know a couple who should hear about HMI?

We’re currently enrolling couples for upcoming HMI trips, and we’d love your help spreading the word.

If you know a couple with at least one Jewish partner who might be looking for community, connection, and a new way to explore Jewish life together, send them our way. Your recommendation could be the first step toward helping them find a community where they feel at home.
