You chose Judaism. You're still exploring Israel.

 Do it together with HMI.

Welcome to Honeymoon Israel

You chose Judaism—but you’re still not sure how Israel fits into your story.

Honeymoon Israel is a once-in-a-lifetime journey for couples with one Jewish partner, including those who’ve converted and are ready to explore what comes next. You’ll walk ancient streets, meet Israelis from all backgrounds, and engage with the complexity, beauty, and questions that headlines can’t capture.

This trip isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about showing up—with curiosity, with your partner, and with an openness to connect your personal Jewish journey to the land and people of Israel.

And when the trip ends, the conversation continues—with HMI’s local programs helping you bring Jewish life and community into your everyday world.

In Their Own Words

“These enriching conversations have greatly empowered us, allowing us to return to the United States with a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the situation in Israel. As someone who converted, this trip has profoundly deepened my faith and inspired me to explore it further. I'm excited about the journey ahead and look forward to building a Jewish family.”

Diversity of Israel and the Jewish Community

While we’ll be sure to bring you to the must-see spots throughout the trip, here’s a glimpse of some of the diverse speakers, meaningful workshops, and other special stops we make to dive deeper into the diversity of Israel and the Jewish community. Click here for more details about our trip itineraries.

  • Israel 101: On each trip, our tour educators offer a brief “Israel 101” covering the country’s vast history, shifting borders, and the complex realities of modern day Israel. When it comes to Israel’s layered and complicated history, we’re all showing up with different opinions, questions, and levels of knowledge. This overview is just a starting point for the many topics the group works to unpack together over the course of the trip.
  • Ibrahim Abu Ahmed and Amira Mohammed: Hear powerful stories and insights from two Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, peace advocates, and hosts of the wartime podcast Unapologetic: The Third Narrative. Gain a deeper understanding of the Palestinian perspective about the experience of Arab citizens of Israel and learn about some of the larger regional dynamics at play today.
  • Avraham Infeld: Educator Avraham Infeld’s presentation, The Five-Legged Table: Reflections on the Jewish Family, provides our couples with a meaningful and thought-provoking framework on what Jewish identity and community are all about. At HMI, one of our goals is to help you find your own modes of Jewish expression, and Avraham’s philosophy is a great place to start.
