HMI at Home began as our virtual programming initiative to keep us all connected throughout the pandemic. Now, HMI at Home is so much more than virtual events. It encompasses incredible opportunities for meaningful connection that happen online and in person in your city! From Shabbat to holidays to challah baking, the HMI community is here for you.

HMI Chicago: Pre-Passover Carbs and Convos (IRL)
April 9 @ 7:00 pm CDT
Passover is basically in like, 10 minutes (April 15 – 23). And if you are anything like us, you haven’t even begun to think about how to celebrate this year. Join HMI Chicago for an event designed to help you wrap your mind around this holiday:
- What to eat
- How to make meaning of ancient Passover choreography
- How to involve your children and/or in-laws
- Seder (the holiday ritual dinner) tablescape ideas
- Embodied Passover mindfulness
- Wrestling with interfaith moments during Passover and Easter
- And more!
In addition, as a Passover pre-game, we are going to feast on all the stuff you aren’t traditionally supposed to eat during the holiday itself. Pizza. Whiskey. Beer. Pasta. If it has carbs, we are going to enjoy it (we’ll have gluten free options as well). Oh, and we’ll also bring in Havdalah (the end of Shabbat) together as a community IN-PERSON for the first time in over two years!
Due to the HMI national in-person gathering guidelines, this event will be capped at 45 people, so RSVP quickly to confirm your spot!
