HMI is more than a trip, it’s about the journey. And your Jewish journey continues at home – whether in your community, with your HMI cohort, or at home with your partner. From Shabbat to other Jewish holidays, life-stage based programs and neighborhood meet-ups, our programs help you explore Jewish life with your Honeymoon Israel family. Don’t see a program in your city? Reach out to your local city staff for help finding what you need.

HMI Chicago: Tu B’Av Cooking Class
Thursday, August 14 at 7:30 pm
Portage Park (details will be sent closer to the event)
In celebration of the holiday of Tu B’Av, basically Jewish Valentine’s Day, join us for a deliciously fun Couples Cooking Class led by HMI alum and chef-extraordinaire, Micah Siva! This event is open to Honeymoon Israel applicants, alumni, and lovebirds from the wider Jewish community.
Together, you and your partner will whisk up a meaningful evening by mixing and mingling with other couples and simmering in connection with local Jewish couples. By the end of the night, you’ll leave with full hearts, full bellies, and new friendships (and maybe even a spicy new recipe or two). Let’s turn up the heat…. in the kitchen and in community!
Please note: We’ll be making a delicious dessert together and nosh (snacks) will be served.
