HMI at Home began as our virtual programming initiative to keep us all connected throughout the pandemic. Now, HMI at Home is so much more than virtual events. It encompasses incredible opportunities for meaningful connection that happen online and in person in your city! From Shabbat to holidays to challah baking, the HMI community is here for you.

DC Neighborhood Hamantaschen Train

February 20 - February 26

Join HMI DC in connecting to neighbors with a delicious home-made hamantaschen train. You can connect to nearby HMI couples and have a chance to compete for the best hamantaschen pictures, most artsy social media post, and best action shot while baking.

What’s a hamantaschen? A tasty three sided cookie filled with usually jam or chocolate chips to celebrate overcoming the villain Haman (boo! Hiss!) during Purim!

What: Celebrate Purim with your neighborhood by baking or buying, and sharing hamantaschen (It’s a mitzvah!). You’ll also get a chance to vote on your favorites and the winners will get some awesome prizes ($$).
When: Bake and deliver hamantaschen to one neighbor during the week before Purim (February 20-25th) and receive tasty hamantaschen in return!
