Friday, July 18: Final Shabbat Dinner in Lowry, NE Denver.
You’re invited to join HMI Colorado’s first Embark Cohort! HMI educator Rabbi Dave Yedid of Base Denver is leading a course called Embark for interfaith and mixed-heritage HMI alumni couples in Colorado. This series will be hybrid (classes are offered online with an in-person retreat and Shabbat dinner).
Who: This cohort is for up to ten HMI couples who identify as an interfaith, mixed-heritage, or multi-faith home. This course is also open to couples in which one partner has chosen to become Jewish. If you aren’t sure if Embark is right for you, please reach out to dave.yedid@memglobal.org.
What: As part of this experience, you’ll connect with other couples and explore how to honor each other’s traditions, engage in Jewish practices like Shabbat and tzedakah, and define shared values. You’ll participate in conversations that build on the meaningful HMI dialogues from your trip, diving into what it looks like to bring Judaism into a diverse home. You’ll deepen your relationship, connect with a local rabbi, and grow your HMI community.
This course is not: an Intro to Judaism course, nor is it geared toward conversion.
Cost: Due to a generous grant, this experience is subsidized and the cost is $218/couple which includes the six virtual weekday classes, the in-person retreat, and Shabbat dinner. If you attend the in-person retreat in June, you will be refunded $100.
Registration closes on May 15.
