HMI is about building community, and right now community is needed more than ever. The past year has been difficult for many of us who are Jewish or who love someone who is Jewish. It’s a unique time to travel to Israel – and we understand that for some of our participants it is just not the right time to do so.
That’s why we’re excited to offer a new travel opportunity in Argentina for a limited time along with our Israel trips. No matter where you choose to travel with HMI, we’re ready to welcome you and your partner in the next step of your Jewish journey.

Application FAQs
Am I eligible for Honeymoon Israel’s program?
HMI is open to couples of all cultural, racial, religious, gender, and sexual identities who are looking to create connections with each other and to Jewish life. HMI’s program is for couples with at least one Jewish partner (we define that broadly!), between the ages of 25 and 40, and who are within the first five years of marriage or early in their lifelong committed partnership. All couples are based in the same metro area to enhance community-building during and after the trip. Note: For HMI trips traveling through August 2025, HMI is extending eligibility to couples between the ages of 25-41 and who are within the first six years of marriage, due to the pause in HMI trips in 2023 and 2024. What is the application process?
If an application is open in your city, you and your partner should submit an application. Once we review your application, you may be invited to an in-person interview. Interviews are an opportunity for us to get to know you and your partner and better understand how HMI can support you at this time in your life. We’ll let you know within a few weeks whether you’ve been secured a spot on a trip or not. Read more about our application and interview process.
If we are not accepted, can we apply again?
If we can’t secure you a spot on an upcoming trip, you are welcome to reapply in the next application cycle for your city. We receive up to four times the number of applications than we have spots available. We try to interview as many eligible couples as possible.
Do you have a waitlist?
While HMI does not create trip waitlists, we will refer back to our applicant pool in the event that a participant can no longer join us on an upcoming HMI trip. Because of this, we encourage you to apply even if a trip date is full, as you may be notified and invited to fill a spot. This also allows us to have your application and interest form on file for future dates.
How does Honeymoon Israel determine who gets accepted?
We look at a variety of factors to determine who gets accepted, including whether a couple meets eligibility criteria. We will do our best to get to know you to understand whether Honeymoon Israel might be a good fit for you.
