SUMMARY:HMI LA: Nova Music Festival Exhibition Tour & Survivor Talkback
DESCRIPTION:HMI LA Nova Music Festival Exhibition Tour & Survivor Talkback\nSaturday\, September 14 at 5:15 pm\nLocation TBA  \nJoin HMI for a group visit to the Nova Music Festival Exhibition in LA followed by a talkback with a festival survivor and Havdalah (ceremony marking the end of Shabbat). \nThe Nova Music Festival Exhibition is an in-depth remembrance of the brutal October 7th attack. The installation sets out to recreate an event dedicated to peace and love that was brutally cut short by Hamas’s attack on Israel that fateful day. \nIt’s so important for the world to know what happened on October 7th. We’re extending this invitation to your non-Jewish friends or family members who you would like to join us in visiting this exhibit.  \nThe cost is $36 per person\, and the proceeds from the exhibit will be used to commemorate the victims\, rehabilitate the survivors of the festival\, support the Tribe of Nova community\, promote education and call for the return of the hostages. \nWe don’t want cost to be a barrier to your attendance. Should you need assistance or have any questions\, please email me at melissa.opper@honeymoonisrael.org. \nRegister

SUMMARY:Challah Bake One\, Take One
DESCRIPTION:Challah Bake One\, Take One\nThursday\, May 2 at 7:00 pm\nDistillery of Modern Art in Chamblee \nDuring the holiday of Passover\, one tradition is to refrain from eating bread or any other food that rises. And after a week without bread\, wouldn’t a homemade challah really hit the spot?! Come together with your HMI friends to bake challah that you can enjoy at your Shabbat celebration that week. $36 per person includes challah supplies\, one drink ticket\, and delicious lite bites. \nIt’s also important to recognize that not everyone has the luxury of choosing which foods to refrain from during their holiday observance; many of our neighbors are experiencing food injustice and have limited access to food. This program will also include baking additional challah to donate to Atlanta Free Fridge. \n  \nRegister
