DESCRIPTION:Adoption Journeys with Honeymoon Israel: A conversation with other HMI couples on adoption journeys and joys\, facilitated by East Bay Director of Community Engagement Curtis Sechrist and NYC alum Katie Foley. \nKatie Foley and her husband Brandon were participants on trip 5 out of New York City. Katie is a social worker with an MSW from Columbia University and she worked for a premier adoption agency for 7 years. She is an expert on international and domestic adoption and frequently coaches families on their pre-adoptive journeys. She is passionate about making sure kids grow up in stable\, loving families. Katie currently works for a nonprofit serving 20\,000 vulnerable and older New Yorkers.

Partisan politics\, predictions for change in the current covid situation\, lots of personal identifying details about yourself\, assumptions about their religious observance.

DESCRIPTION:We’re so excited to offer a “cheese monster” cheese and havdallah class on Saturday\, August 22nd at 7:30 PM! \nCheese 101: In this class\, we will kick off with havdallah rituals\, then we will we taste through 5 different cheeses and talk about culture\, geography\, history\, and science through the lens of how cheese is made. This will also include some tips and tricks about cheese boards and presentation! \nThere are two options: You can get a list and buy your own cheese\, and just take the class and event with us for $20 a couple (HMI will pay the other $20 class fee) You can pick up cheese from our official cheese monster/cheese monger and take the class for $35!
